The business was founded in 1992 by former FIM Grand Prix star and 8 times Isle of Man TT winner Chas Mortimer. Our specialist team shares a passion for bikes and all our drivers are employed directly by us – we never use subcontractors - so we are all bikers offering a personal and professional service to fellow motorcyclists.

Chas began his racing career at Brands Hatch in July 1965 aged sixteen. His father Charles Mortimer Senior raced cars and motorbikes at Brooklands in the 1930s and then after the war both his parents raced cars at circuits such as Goodwood and Silverstone. Chas’ maternal grandfather, Joseph “Mutt” Summers, was the chief test pilot for Vickers Armstrong in Weybridge and flew the first test flight on the Spitfire. He was also the pilot who did all the tests with Barnes Wallis on the bouncing bomb, a weapon that succeeded in destroying the Ruhr dams with 617 Squadron in 1944.

Coming from such a family it seems inevitable that speed was in his genes and that Chas went on to become a professional motorcycle road racer for nearly twenty years. His first ever racing bike was a 250cc Greeves Silverstone but Chas eventually became an official Yamaha factory rider during the 1970s and 80s winning eight Isle of Man TT races during the same period.

Today Chas still rides in Classic events throughout Europe during the summer months as well as running the company. Chas' love for motorcycles led him to form the company and you can be sure that your vehicles will be treated with as much care as one of his own motorcycles.

Race History

Chas’ success began in 1970 when he won the Production Lightweight event, and during the following eight years rode on the Mountain Circuit which gave him victories in the 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 750cc and Production Races.

Although he was best known for his World Championship exploits in the 125cc class, this former public schoolboy won eight TTs on a variety of machinery. His best year was 1976, when he won both the Production and Junior TTs riding Yamaha machinery and finished 3rd in the 350cc World Championship.

Chas remains the only rider to have won FIM Grand Prix races in the 125, 250, 350, 500 and 750 world championship classes
